I've gotten him new feed dishes and I wash his face every night with antibacterial soap (believe me, that's not fun).

I'm just hoping he isn't going to permantly have cat acne

Cats use their tongues to keep themselves clean but they can't reach their chins and sometimes they don't clean very well. Add into the fact that I was using plastic dishes for his cat food and the plastic absorbs slobber & germs......well, the poor guy has acne.

Hopefully this Service announcement can help alleviate acne in our feline friends

I take a wash cloth and wet one corner and put a little Dial on it. Then I wet another corner without any soap. That way I can wipe off his chin and then rinse the soap off after I'm done.

I would advise wrapping a cat in a heavy blanket since he (or she) is obviously not too keen on having his face cleaned.
