Is it really fair to brush both of these guys with the same stroke? Mel Gibson's dad appears to be a delusional, hate spewing freak. But in his Diane Sawyer interview, Mel seemed pretty reasonable.

As an aside, it is funny how Mel and his "Lethal Weapon" co-star Danny Glover have such different political views. Wonder how those two get along these days.
