Anyone like old 2D games?
I love the older games on SNES and other systems theres a game I play called Equinol. Its an online multiplayer game made with the Player Worlds system its a work in progress game. The mappers and dev's are working daily adding stuff to the game. The site for the game is www.equinol.tk if you need any help with it check the forums.

1. I like 2D
Not so much old games, but I enjoy 2D role playing games. They still look better than 3D games of today.

2. Emulation Rules
Some of the old SNES rpg's were the best ever made. Tales of Phantasia, Chrono Trigger, FFIII(VI), Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu III, Star Ocean, Bahamut Lagoon, ect.

All great rpg's. My favorite was Tales of Phantasia, with FFIII(VI) and Chrono Trigger tied for second.

It's nice to play them all on my comp, and translated, too.

4. If I weren't such an Everquest addict I'd probably get hooked on this!
It looks like the MMORPG version of some old Super NES game. And I bet it's a LOT of fun. Thanks for the heads up!

As far as 2-D games go, I am a true emulation afficionado. Anybody out there with a decent (Pentium 3 or higher with at least a 32MB graphics card and about 20GB of free hard disk space... 4000 files plus extras can take up a lot of room!) computer who waxes nostalgic for all those old quarter gobbling video games has GOT to get in touch with this guy and order the complete set of MAME roms!

If you look, you'll see he also has about a billion files for nearly every system known to mankind, available in a different set.

6. OOOOOH, Atari 8 bit!
Until Windoze XP went completely corrupt on me a couple of months ago, I found this European (?) site that had disk images of just about every Atari 800 game ever released, along with a great emulator. Of course, I can't find it anymore so I'm assuming it's been shut down. I used to have a friend back in high school with an Atari 800 and I spent almost every afternoon for about 2 years at his house with some other friends playing all those old games. One of my faves was Spelunker. Remember that kickass platform game? It took me forever to be able to finish it, but I finally got to the end of all those caves.
