Time to remember our man Clinton
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 07:46 PM by scottcsmith
His classic "Final Days" video. Can you imagine Smirk doing this? I cannot. Note: You'll need the Quicktime player to watch it, and there's a link at the site to d/l it.

2. Fuck Clinton

He pushed NAFTA and WTO after being handed these agreemants by Bush Sr.

Bill Clinton really did fuck democrats and labor over. He did hold back the tide on some issues, but overall he was a dissapointment.

8. Yup
NAFTA
DMCA
DOMA
Sacking of Jocelyn Elders
1996 Telecom bill
1995 welfare 'reform' (didn't stop 'corporate welfare')
Monica (who cares, it was made public. A tactic we need to be equally vigilant about...)
Others...

He had his good moments. His bad moments definitely reek of puke fluence. :-( (he had to cave in 94 when the repukes won everything, with their "contact with america" that they never honored in the end...)

7. I second that! (though not with the colorful metaphors...)
Clinton had his good moments, but his bad moments truly stink. He was definately working at the behest of the repkes, if not trying to be "Mr. Nice Bipartisan Democrat" (something I hope Kerry isn't, though I'd vote for him anyway...). Still, I suppose being a centrist is better than one of those mangy far-left whacky commie pinko types... sigh. Tell that to the 3 mil who lost their jobs, with more to follow...

10. He fought all 8 years
with no undergirding of a fawning press or obedient Congress and despite relentless investigations, subpoenas and outright harassment.

I say FUCK the GOP against whom he had to fight every day because repukes were hellbent on destroying him by any means short of physical assassination. And Jesse Helms even hinted at that!

Give the man a break. He gets blamed for EVERYTHING.

12. Thank you!!!!!!!
I am truly appalled by the vicious language against President Clinton. This is why Repukes win; because we eat our own. For God's sake, grow up and quit beating on Bill. There are enough truly bad guys out there for us to focus on. Every time you say something bad about another Democrat, you're making Repukes happy.

13. Agreed wholeheartedly!
The pukes gave him a wrongfully hard time... Some of the things he did were definitely puke-scented, but he was hardly all bad - that's for sure.

The next Democratic president shouldn't be bipartisan in the slightest. The pukes' idea of bipartisanship is "Democrats and Republicans come together, but we ask that the Democrats do what we tell them." x(

14. He is the messiah and without sin
is that what you are looking for?

You know what? Most of the people here wouldn't have voted for Abraham Lincoln becasue of his "waffling" on slavery.

16. I'm sorry to have to say this, but I agree.

When Clinton first took office, I had such high hopes for the man. But boy, did he dash them. Clinton did things for Corporate America (and against the poor and middle class) that Reagan and Bush the Elder could barely have dreamed of!

The previous poster mentioned both NAFTA and the WTO. Well, let's also not forget the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which is directly responsible for making cutthroat ourfits like Newscorp and Clear Channel the mega-conglomerates they are now. Thanks for nothing, Bill!

3. "Getting into gear for four more years of things not getting worse"
From "Christmas in Washington"by Steve Earle, describing the 1996 election.Maybe he did the best he could with a Republican Congress(I believe this)but if we get rid of Smirk we'll have to do more than hold the line.Maintaining the status quo will be disastrous for the world and its people.
The pendulum must begin to swing left.

4. LOL
That is too funny! I wish we still had a real President instead of the utter embarrassment currently squatting in the White House. You'll never see anything like that from Chimpy as his idea of humor is belittling others not poking fun at himself.

9. For some reason,
He seems like a guy who'd be fun to sit down and have a nice cold beer with, maybe watch a game.

15. Who, Bush?
Yeah, I can see him getting off-his-ass drunk, probably via a beer bong. Getting drunk, making prank phone calls, and looking up dirty words in the dictionary. In fact, I suspect that's exactly what he'll be doing next year at the Crawford ranch.
