The Mother al All Awwwww Threads
To understand what this is about, please click here.

Spot was given her shots in December and officially renamed Spitfire. That is because she was the last of the litter to regularly hiss at me when I approached her. However, she would eat out of my hand and let me pet her.

My intention was to get her spayed and her brothers neutered, but since my disability claim was being processed, I never got to that.

In the wee hours yesterday morning, Spitfire whelped six kittens. I borrowed a digital camera from friends and took these pictures.

Here's the link to the photo album for a better look.

In the second photo (the first one on the album), Spitfire is being protective of her brood after I took the first photo.

As if that isn't enough, Pinta, Spitfire's mother, showed up on my porch last night with four more kittens who appear to be about a month old.

So, I have ten new kittens to deal with. Anybody want one? Of course, I'm not giving them away yet.

1. They are adorable
And she looks to be a very good momma.

As for myself, I dare not suggest any more to our household even if I were close enough to swing by when they are old enough.

6. now you have the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee living in your house
how wonderful ..just be sure those Mom cats get lots of fattening food, the poor things can get really raggedy looking when they are nursing a litter.

Kudos to you
