8 neighborhood sales this weekend in my town.

Bought Over 200 books! :D

1. retrolounge, you so need to let me know what kind of stuff you want

so when my church has garage sale next year, I can catch stuff at the end of sale when we sell it by the bag full for $2.00.

2. We just went to a church book sale today.

$2 a bag! Wooot! Wooot! I have the whole Charles Dickens library, several fat books of Victorian poetry. Vintage cookbooks, sewing books, and a french coloring book, among other goodies.

4. we start our books at $1.00 for hardcover and 50 cents for paper

then on the last day of sale we cut to half of that kind of late in the morning and after lunch go to the all you can get in a bag for $2...which usually ends up being cut in half at checkout.

We raised $45K at our sale this year. Not just books, of course.

But I will try to remember to alert you to what we have as the sale progresses. We work on it for 6 months so I am fairly aware of what we have by sale time.

3. Wow..... I helped at a garage sale today...

It was in the 90s and we had few takers. We would have given the junque away.... some of it, we did.

(We are cleaning out my parents' house. I think there are probably lots of books there!)
