We are ordering a Hybrid Ford Escape tomorrow.

We just want the basics--don't need navigation or a "moonroof" or heated seats :wtf: In GA , no less.

Went to a dealership that of course tried screwing us and had the options we didn't want.

Got a quote from another dealer today, we have to order it but it's under 30 grand and I only do city miles, so it will get 32-34.

I'm excited, since I have been driving a vehicle that's 12 years old; not that's there anything wrong with it.

Husband drives a 2001 Camry, and will until the Escape is paid off, haha. The cam only has 60K tho.

1. My Dad has made noises about finding me one.

I've looked, but it's hard to find a used one without leather. No hurry though, there's really nothing wrong with my car, except that it's 11 years old and has 165K miles.

I've read lots are sent to CA and NY----check Carmax too. If you have the time, call every Ford/Mercury dealer in you area---the Mariner hybrid is basically the Escape.

I found calling was less annoying, because every fucking hour a salesmen would be calling if you requested it via the internet.

Maybe other peeps had better experiences, but I HATE buying cars.

3. Oh, I buy cars every few months for my Dad's business.

I hate it, but I have a knack for finding a steal. The nice thing is, I'm in no hurry, so I can wait for a good deal to pop up.

Somebody was selling a civic hybrid on CL for $6k last year- I'd have snatched that puppy up if I didn't need more room.
