I'm sure this will seem like flamebait

...but with my wife out of town for a few days, I'm starting to reach the deep recesses of the refrigerator and I discovered a jar of caviar about 1/3 full.

I estimate it's been there since around Christmas.

Does caviar go bad?

7. It was fine a couple of months ago...

...and it's not as if fish hatched from it or anything. It looks pretty much the same as it did when it was new.

I finished the Roquefort that was near it in the "bin that never gets opened", but I don't think any variety of blue cheese goes bad - or how you'd tell if it did.

Maybe I'll try some out on the dog first.

I split a Pupperoni with her a while ago...

6. Would a guy eat it? It's roe, just like Ikura, salmon roe = sushi.
Plenty of guys eat it. I like it with a quail egg.

Caviar is extremely good. Depending entirely upon your sense of taste/aestheitics.

10. No!!!!!! Read this
How long will caviar last at home
Caviar will last about 1 week at home in your refrigerator. It should be stored in the coldest part, usually in the meat compartment. Caviar should be eaten within 2-3 days after opening.
