3. I was fixin to ask!
It was Simon who had surgery? His white hairs and his face make him look like a grownup but he's half Elmo's size.
They look like buddies :loveya: giving you the sweetest looks.

4. Yup, Simon is the world's most expensive pup, LOL

In fact in the second pic, you can kind of see where his fur looks funny curving along his shoulder? It's because it's still growing back from when it was shaved for the procedure.

They both look like old men... it's the beards, LOL. Simon is only 5 1/2 months, Elmo will be 5 years in September.

The second pic cracks me up, because they can both manage to look so pitiful... like, "why don't you ever feed us? We are WASTING AWAY!!!"

How are you doing tonight sweetie?

36. oh well I like her!
I like Obama too though.
I just get so carried away in environmental news and of course they're frickin' battering me with it lately :banghead: Once in a while I have a emotional spaz-out, then I remember to laugh at the news instead of cry.

Far as the recent Democrat excitement goes I'm just trying to stay happy until the big day comes, then I'll either be happy or GO KILLIN

darling doggies!

What breed(s) are mixed in there? I love Heinz-57 pups, but your two fellas have similar faces/doggie beards and I just am wondering what gene pool those traits are from. Will Simon grow to be as big as Elmo?

47. Elmo was a "terrier mix" according to the shelter
Edited on Sun Jun-08-08 08:42 AM by SallyMander

We think probably Wheaton, based on his size, but that's a total guess!

Simon apparently is a schnauzer/dachshund mix. The shelter said they knew this for sure, because the mom came in with the pups and apparently the former owners knew the dad. However, they first said mom was a mini-schnauzer - and he's already bigger than those AND dachshunds! So who knows. Maybe she was a standard schnauzer, or maybe dad was really something else! He's only 5 and a half months, so we think he'll probably get as tall as Elmo, but maybe not be as stocky. :)

:hi:

Edit for typo!

43. Can't tell you what a morale boost these pics of Elmo & Simon gave me.
Rough times dealing with mold abatement damage issues. THEN I saw these and gave a belly laugh!!! So much needed, thx.

Remember, just before you got Simon? You were concerned about how Elmo would react. But every time you post pics of the two of them, little brudda is always snuggled up next to his big brudda. You and Isa did right by those guys and the love in their eyes is something to behold. I just KNEW this was going to be a happy scenario!
