Poll question: When should you get the diploma?
If graduation is May 31 and you have an incomplete in a project that you intend to finish in August when should you expect to receive a diploma in the mail?

1. You should get the diploma only after all the work is completed and recorded
Officially, the degree would be awarded in August (or at the end of whichever session the work was turned in during). As for receiving the physical diploma in the mail, it depends on the efficiency of your university; my undergrad diploma took months to arrive...

2. Exactly!
Why would we give a diploma to a student who has not finished all requirements? I want to say... tell you what, why don't we just issue the diploma the first day of freshman year and you just promise to complete all the courses?

3. Some places let you 'walk' with your class, but inside the booklet
is nothing.

7. If it would quit raining we could get our roof replaced
our carpenter says it will only take two days - but it needs to quit raining. (He says he'll start building the new garage around July 1). I get car #1 back - all fixed - on Wednesday. Then car #2 goes in for inspection/repair.

Will we be seeing you and cs next weekend in Des Moines?

10. Part of why I'm going
To see the crowd's reception of him and to see the crowd's reception of Vilsack.

(Well, okay, and to see the crowd's reception of MY Congressman Bruce Braley - who hugged me and asked how we were doing at last weeks My Waterloo Days parade - what a sweetheart).

12. Well, heh heh, you can always give him $$

I guess he spent quite a bit of time out in P-Burg helping clean up and whatnot. Not just look around but actually work. His political director called us that night when he saw Debi, Jr's pics on Facebook. Now THAT'S representation. Man we are lucky!

13. August
One shouldn't graduate either - graduation is the ceremony displaying achievement of the award, to have this before the award is actually achieved is illogical.
