Did you ever have a scary/weird dream when you were a kid that still sticks with you?

When I was a kid I lived across the street from a house that had a huge "cyprus related" bush in the yard. I must have been about 7 or 8, but I had a dream that a witch lived in the bush and was almost certainly out to get me. It wasn't like I was thereafter afraid of that bush... others since then scare the hell out of me ;-) (Ba dum crash) but for some reason it is a very clear "memory".

The other day I went to my mom's house and saw that the neighbor had cut the bush down.

PS.... Now of course I know that witches are not good or bad.... just regular people.

1. Yeah

Not the same dream all the time - but something bad happens and I can't scream or cry out or make a sound. My lover wanted to gag me (BDSM thang) and after 2 years I finally gave in. Lasted 10 seconds before I freaked.

2. I remember having a dream where I was riding my bike down the road with a friend of mine...

And Vigo from Ghostbusters 2 came out of this big gravel pit and chased us.

3. I had a recurring night terror

We lived in a circle, in fact it was called "Circle Drive", and I could see out past the neighbors' houses to the far end of the circle from my bedroom window. I would be having an ordinary dream when suddenly I would hear this cacophonous music in the distance. In the dream, I would look out the window and see this ragtag band of wandering musicians playing the tinny cacophony on makeshift instruments. Leading the band was a thin blonde girl who's face I couldn't make out from my window. Somehow I knew she had a face that was scarier than I could dare imagine. I buried my face in the bed, hoping they would just pass but I knew she had noticed me at the window and they were coming for me.
The "music" rapidly grew louder as they approached my house and entered my room. A hand touched my shoulder, urging me to open my eyes and stare into the girl's monstrous face but I woke up instead.
I had the dream numerous times and never saw what her face really looked like.

4. Many.

I am and have always been a vivid dream rememberer. I have too many dreams that are lodged in my memory, wonderful and nightmarish.

There's one where this weird monkey-man is chasing me around a table in the gymnasium of my elementary school. I was really young for that one.

I have one about a disembodied head floating around my room. This one dates to sometime before I turned two, based on the room where it happened.

6. Yes, I dreamed I went mountain-climbing with the pope. He was in full regalia, too.

7. I used to have this stuffed frog.

Many nights, just as I was falling asleep, the frog would wake up and start moving around the room, sometimes putting its legs up onto my bed. Of course, I now realize that it was just a recurring dream, but since I was 4 at the time, and it was recurring, vivid, and not very distinct from my falling asleep phase, I just thought the frog moved around at night.

Man, I hated that frog. I would try to hide it, but my Mom would find it, and assume I had just left it somewhere.
