Poll question: Favorite Made-For-TV pop tune?
Yet one more in a long list of inconsequential polls...

What is your favorite 'manufactured' music pop tune?

Admittedly, this one is geared for the middle aged set, and there may be other songs out there that I didn't mention. Feel free to vote on the 'Other' button if you so choose.

Qualifier - It has to be a legitimate TV pop tune - guest appearances on a sitcom or variety show don't count.

2. "I Think I Love You" is pure pop for now people...
...and 30 years on, it still gets my toes-a-tappin' every time I hear it.

3. The theme to Greatest American Hero :)
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 01:01 PM by ET Awful
I say it's a legitimate TV pop tune since it was availabe as a 45 rpm single when it came out :)

Performed by Joey Scarbury -

Look at what's happened to me,
I can't believe it myself.
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world,
It should've been somebody else.

Believe it or not,
I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

It's like a light of a new day,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true ue ue.

Believe it or not,
I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

5. Great song. Written by the great Mike Post.
I agree with you about how nice that song is. It's so...joyous.

9. Another one I LOVED as a kid was the theme to Grizzly Adams :)
Deep inside the forest
There's a door into another land.
Here is our life and home.
We are staying here forever
In the beauty of this place all alone.
We keep on hoping.
Maybe there's a world
Where we don't have to run.
Maybe there's a time we'll call our own, Living free in harmony and majesty.
Take me home. Take me home.

Not exactly a pop song, but I always thought it was very cool for such a short simple tune.

4. I liked that one from that show "The Heights" a few years ago...
"How do you talk to an angel?" was the title.

8. I think I'll go for a walk outside, now.
The summer sun calls me by name, I hear it now.
Just can't stay inside all day,
Gotta get out, get me some of those rays!

11. I voted for "Stepping Stone," because it's about the rockin'est...

...thing the Monkees ever did. But frankly, I could do without ever hearing any of those songs again!

Nothing personal, y'understand....

12. Nuttin' personal taken...
Whatever makes your watercraft project a positive bouyancy, dude!

Although, IMHO, The Monkees did grow to be decent musicians. Not great, but halfway decent...
