Northern Exposure fans
There are still a few of us around, right? I can't be the only one left?

Just found out this morning that the first season is finally being released on DVD this spring.

About time!

:bounce:

(I couldn't resist; I already pre-ordered it.)

3. Excellent...
Adam Arkin as Adam is possibly the best semi-regular character ever to have occasionally graced a TV show.

4. Awesome
My favorite episode was when they flung the coffin into the lake using Chris' catapault. Classic!!!

7. Good one...
But I prefered the original catapult (trebuchet, actually) episode where Maggie's charred Mason and Hamlin piano ("that was never and now WILL never be in tune") got the old heave-ho.

8. NE was one of the greatest moments in TV history
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 11:48 AM by alwynsw
I still have a crush on O'Connell.

edited to add: NE caused me one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. I watched the episode of the funeral for Maggie's BF who got hit by a satellite. The coffin that contained him and the satellite remants would only go partway up the church aisle because of all the extra stuff from the antenna that was sticking out of the heap and the special shape of the coffin to accomodate it. The very next damned day, I had to go to a funeral. It was my first Catholic funeral. Here I am, a mid 30's professional stifling laughs that were so hard they brought me to tears because I couldn't get the picture of that damned human satellite coffin out of my mind. I lost it completely and had to rush out of the church when they stopped the coffin halfway up the aisle for the blessing (?) because it drove the scene home with a vengeance.

To this day, some people still think I was completely distraught over the death of my cousin's husband. Hell, I couldn't stand the bastard. I was there because it was a family requirement sort of thing.
