Winner, Best Original Name for man-in-the-news-today:

surely has to be Professor Rick Titball, fearless inventor of the Bubonic Plague vaccine (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3502361.stm)
but notoriously so shy his pic can't be googled up on the web....

Unless, of course, someone trumps this one and finds an even better contender........
