When am I going to get out of this black hole? I need a little sympathy.
Usually February is a good month for me being my birthday month and all.

But I've been sick with bronchitis and asthma since the beginning of the month and today when I was measuring the back porch of a 1893 house when my right leg went through the rotting boards right up to my groin and I am badly briused from mid-calf to mid-thigh. I can hardly move my leg, plus I can hardly move any part of me. The homeowner helped me up after about 10 minutes of me laying on her porch and said to me - couldn't you see that part of the porch was rotten? How the hell could I tell THAT - it was painted the same colour as the rest of the porch and I am not a fucking house inspector!!! I'm an appraiser!!!

So I'm kind of stoned on TIII's and a little scotch and a little smoke, trying to deal with the pain. I think I'll sleep well tonight.

I know I'll be back on top of the wave soon - but right now I'm in a trough between the waves and it sucks.

Just wanted to vent a little bit.:(

1. Your lawyer might make you feel better...
Since you were on the job, it could be worth filing a worker's comp claim. Or a claim against this crazy woman's homeowners insurance...

That's a rough accident... you have my sympathy. If nothing else, you should be able to get some paid time off out of it. Catch up on your recreational reading or your serious goofing off.

Warmer weather will help cheer us ALL up, I hope.

And happy belated birthday!

My poor little sister was dreadfully sick the entire day of my older sister's wedding. SHe was really looking forward to the day too.

10. Thanks HEyHEY
What a drag that your sister had to miss your other sister's wedding. I know things will get better - I was just feeling sorry for myself.

5. I'm betting the rotten porch affected her appraisal!
Happy B-day. Get well. Send her a bill.

6. You know it will affect her appraisal,
but she wants it low cause it's for a divorce settlement. So in order to make my point, I would have to have the value really high. But obviously with a rotten porch, the house ain't worth too much is it? Any way, thanks a lot. Things will get better, this much I know.

11. That's the truth
She said she and her son were going to rebuild the porch this summer. My shitty luck to do the appraisal before the summer. But I'll tell ya one thing - I will never walk on someone's porch again without looking where the hell I'm stepping. So I learned something new today.

12. Well, then the day wasn't a total loss.
You learned: Watch where you step.

A lesson we could all benefit from.

Goodnight
