NBC stinks!!!!
Yea, I know, we can all count the reasons. I have one of those Tivo systems. A show is on NBC that I enjoy. I Tivo'ed it, and tonight, when I try to watch the show, the thing stopped recording like a minute or two before the show was over. NBC frickin does that. They have shows end a minute or two after the hour, just so folks like me get hosed, and don't get to see the end of their shows. Hey, if NBC would rather me just not watch, as opposed to recording it, more power to them, they are on their way to losing me as a viewer. Anyone else notice this?? Kevin.

1. Are you sure that...
...is their motivation?

2. They do that so
people don't switch to another channel. If NBC's show ends at, say, 9:03, then the thinking is that people will stay tuned to the next NBC show instead of going to another channel where the show has already started.

3. I think their motivation is to keep you watching the
show that comes on next. They figure that if your show ends at 9:04 or so then you will be less likely to switch the station to another channel and another show that has been on for four five minutes. IMHO it's a means of controlling the viewing habits of their audience. Haven't you noticed that when they end shows a minute or so after the half hour or hour the next show begins immediately?
