10. Mine are from an Oregon beach too. :)

Family & me

Me poking at something strange and blobby. I think it was alive at one point or another.

Me... err... on a rock.

I've got some rope up here, but I do not think you would accept my help, as I am only waiting around to kill you.

Artsy, off to the side walking away picture. :P

12. Yeah, I wouldn't mind living there.
Not too shabby inland too, but most of the pictures I took of the foliage and err... rockiage there didn't have me in it.

24. I love Mackinac Island
I don't think I've been there since I was 15 or 16, but I've always liked it. Every few summers my parents would take us kids there, and it was always the best time. That fort was just the coolest thing to a little kid. I'd sort of like to go back, but I'm afraid that going now might spoil my memories of it.

30. It really is untouched by the years...it was much the same this time
(I went with BabyG's class on a field trip a few weeks ago) as it was in 1993 (when that pic was taken) and 1982 (when I first went as a kid).

36. cool
It was probably around 1982 that I first remember going there too, and I remember going in '87 for the sesquicentennial, and I think the last time was '94, so I'm sure we have similar memories of the place. I'm glad that it's much the same - I wouldn't want it to change.

of a couple lovers who died and my sister (she died at 23 of cancer) that I just can't look at. Brings back the pain and reminds me of what I've lost.

Hugs and love,

Friends of the lake won a series of court cases and forced LA to stop diverting so much water that the lake could not sustain itself. Water diversion still occurs, but not as much. Mono is one of the most beautiful lakes in California, IMO.

That picture was taken last summer.

o.k., so not all the way out in the wild, but during the semester, it's as close to the woods as i usually get. We'll rectify that soon, i'm sure. The weather has only now warmed up to consistent 'playing outside' temps.
