Poll question: What is your favorite Human League song (pre-1983)?
Just the old stuff for this poll. Damn it, okay, I'll put in "Human" but I hate that friggin' song.

5. Did it come with a picture sleeve?

Mine did, that's why I'm curious.

3. "Seconds" isn't on the poll?
The Human League's one and only good song.

It's about the JFK assassination, of all things.

4. "Human" didn't chart in the states until '86.

You sure it was pre-1983?

Whatever the case, I voted for "(Keep Feeling) Fascination." Always liked that one better than "Don't You Want Me."

6. I know, it was '86
But that was their one big hit, so I figured there'd be folks who might want to vote for it.

10. Huh?

<<But that was their one big hit>>

One big hit?! Not here in the States.

Here's what I have on the Human League, culled from the old Billboard Hot 100 charts:

DON'T YOU WANT ME? - Debuted March 6, 1982. Reached #1 (3 weeks)
(KEEP FEELING) FASCINATION - Debuted May 28, 1983. Reached #8
MIRROR MAN - Debuted October 1, 1983. Reached #30
THE LEBANON - Debuted June 9, 1984. Reached #64
HUMAN - Debuted September 13, 1986. Reached #1 (1 week)
I NEED YOUR LOVING - Debuted December 6, 1986. Reached #44
HEART LIKE A WHEEL - Debuted September 22, 1990. Reached #32
TELL ME WHEN - Debuted March 25, 1995. Reached #31

8. The Human League were big in the UK
I have a cd with their greatest hits and some re-mixes, still great to listen to in the car loud and proud.

11. H.L. fans should take a listen to this new group
http://home.wi.rr.com/codebreakermusic /

One of the best new bands from Wisconsin, impressing people all over the world.

"Last year's "Spacecamp Luxury" continues to charm new fans and has recently been getting considerable play on Tokyo, Milan, and Oslo radio stations. Steven and Sage have been hard at work on yet another release, predicted for the spring of 2004. Hawley says the album will harbor "quite unpredictable directions" ....keep an eye on the listen lab for pre-released sneak peaks."
