Little kids are SO neat
I just talked to my nephew on the phone. He turned 5 today. I sang to him. He told me he loves me and misses me and that Texas is too far away and I should come visit him. I got to hear all about the bowling party he's having this weekend. I told him his present is on the way and he laughed when I wouldn't tell him what it was 'cause it's a surprise. He likes surprises.

I had a long day at work and talking to the little one just rescued my day. :-)

1. Yep...
I have 8 nieces and nephews. They're all fun. Then I get to leave. That's fun, too.

5. That's exactly what my sister says about my boys!
She loves playing them and then going home!

Oh, I can't complain. My days are filled with smiles and laughter (for the most part) at their innocence. The things that come out of their mouths sometimes has me laughing for days.

6. Fairly OddParents on DVD...
and some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff. He loves the Ninja Turtles. He was Raphael for Halloween last year. :-)

3. That's such a sweet age.
How cute!

My son's 3rd birthday is coming up this weekend, and he's very excited. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted today. He said he doesn't care, as long as there is a car on it. He also informed me that Grammy is going to make it. I guess he has no faith in my culinary abilities!

7. For my nephew's 2nd birthday...
Edited on Wed Feb-18-04 07:50 PM by VelmaD
we did a football cake. His and his daddy's birthday are fairly close together and Super Bowl Sunday falls right in between them. They were visiting Texas that weekend so we did their birthday then. I made a cake and decorated it like a football field. Had the little guys playing and goal posts and candles shaped like footballs. We did the score as their ages. :-) Even the platter the cake was on looked like a football stadium.
