Cannibal Ann Coulter Hospitalized

Case Report
A 47 year old female presented with poorly localized abdominal pain and distension for two weeks. The pain wasn't associated with nausea, vomiting diarrhea, constipation or any other complaints. On direct questioning the patient stated that she had a severe episode of periumbilical pain beginning after eating dinner the previous day for which she admitted accepting some sort of opiate medication (from an unidentified media colleague) which resulted in temporary symptomatic relief. The examination of the abdomen revealed a firm tender fluctuant mass in the lower quadrant. The mass was not mobile. A tentative diagnosis of an appendicular mass was made.
Transabdominal M.R.I. revealed, however, several unusual partially digested objects tentatively identified as:
- two iguanid type lizards (possible mating pair),
- one snake (head intact, species unknown ),
- one rodent (positively identified as Rattus norvegicus,)
- one human skull (infant male)



Attending physician recommends immediate hospitalization for acute symptoms followed by evaluation of, and probable admission to, an appropriate psychiatric facility.
