Does anyone know anything about the Georgetown Public Policy Institute?

I'm thinking about applying and was wondering about its academic reputation compared to other public policy programs like the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.

1. Apparently its good

Having not gone there or to any equivalent graduate programs, I can't say how good it is exactly or whether its equal to Kennedy.

But I can think of three faculty I know there (its quite small) and at least the ones I know are brilliant and at the very tops of their respective fields.

USNEWS (for what they are worth) only ranked PP schools in 2001, and show only the top 3. GWU is not in there.

One of my students has taken a certificate program at GWU and seems pretty happy with it. He's a self-sufficient guy -- right winger, BTW -- gets out of a class or program what he wants from it.
