Just returned from a Memorial Day tribute at TM's and BoyMidlo's High School. I went because she was singing.

It was by far the most jingoistic bunch of crap I have ever seen. They couldn't leave it at celebrating those who had fought for the country, no, that would have been too easy. Instead they had to rail on the 'War on Terror' and 'We're fighting them over there, blah, blah, blah'.

Fortunately, only five kids from the graduation class of over 500 are enlisting. At least the kids seem to know that this global war on terrorism is utter bullshit.

And, I'm not opposed to anyone joining the service if they wish to. Just opposed to anyone joining while that Shithead in Chief is in the White House.
