Chicago DUers!

What's going on with our get together?

I apolgogize, but due to our DSL nightmare (now it's back on, but only for BatBoy's computer, apparently, something strange happened to my imac's tcp/ip configuration during the break in service and I'm too moronic to figure out what) I've only been on DU sporadically, so I haven't been up to date regarding any plans. Last I heard there was some rumor of meeting on a different date than the 29th. Any truth to that?

I have to head off to work now, but luckily, due to problems with the firewall our IT guy installed, it had to be removed and I now have access again, so I'll check back later. Thanks in advance!

7. On the other hand.....

The Sun-Times has one of the best, if not the best, Sports Sections in the country. Plus they love to stick it to the TribCubs whenever they get the chance.

Guess it depends what you mean by 'best'. Hardly matters because, when they win the Series this year, they'll be plastered all over everybody's front page.

I was going to say the Sun-Times because the sports section IS the better of the 2 papers. In fact, I read the Trib online and buy the S-T every morning.
But...
The question came from California, and I figured a "casual" fan would find the Trib's coverage more than adequate.
That said, I look forward to metting you (and all) on the 7th!
