the next few days are going to be very difficult for his family. i'll let him give any kind of update he wants to give when he is ready, but, in the mean time, he and his family are going to need a lot of love.

31. I saw his bulletin on myspace but missed the DU link

prayers, vibes, and hugs to Elrond an his sister and all their family.

Watching someone die and knowing it is just a matter of time is a horrific experience regardless of the fact that in the end their is some gratitude that the person's suffering ends. Grief is about the survivors and they are the ones who need the hugs and vibes along with his stepfather.

Hope that he is peaceful and passes in his sleep

41. Oh man, I missed this originally. My heart goes out to them all.

We lost my Dad back in March, and it was awful to watch him suffer. By the time hospice got involved our lives had been consumed with the ICU and DNR orders while Dad laid there struggling to draw breath.

My deepest sympathy and love to that family in this time. I send them much love and strength to face whatever lies ahead.
