Bears are invading my neighborhood

A single appearance of a bear does NOTHING to bring a community together like a good ol' hurricane does.

Does the sighting of a bear bring folks together in brotherhood and fellowship like a hurricane does?
No.

Do folks crank up their propane grills, deep fryers/turkey fryers to cook up every single thing in their defrosting freezers and throw a neighborhood pig-out like a damn good hurricane does?
No.

Do you share your last bottle of decent Scotch with a fella who just sighted a bear?
I think not.
But in post hurricane, the chances are at least 50-50.

There is nothing like a family of woodcutters sitting down to dinner one evening and having a bear smash through the front door, saunter into the kitchen (family runs out the back door and watches as..) bear sweeps everything from table with one arm onto the kitchen floor and chows down on dinner. THEN...opens, yes OPENS the refrigerator and with one paw, sweeps all the food onto the kitchen floor and chows down. True story.

Family style all you can eat restaurant with tons of tourists attending a happy event and watching a bear who often visits the dumpster having a dumpster feast. Child of tourist family decides to feed bear and reaches out with food for bear. Bear takes a swipe and childs hand to take food. Tourists gasp and call police. Police come and shoot bear in front of entire restaurant of tourists. Townspeople get into an uproar over dead bear and write letters to the editor expressing desire of all tourists to fall of climbing ledge to their deaths for being so fucking stupid.

Moral of story
Bears bring conservatives and liberals together in small town who happens to hate everyone outside of their tiny universe.

those dogs in the pics are NOT beagle/walker hound mixes. A beagle walker hound mix would just look like a tall beagle. Those have some kind of schnauzer or terrier blood.
