5. What was he burying? Bird seeds?
'cause the ones in my backyard demand peanuts in the shell. And when I toss one at them, by the time the smell it, the blue jay will dive directly at it.

They just like to bury. In the winter they would bury them in the snow. And then, of course, someone else would come and dig it up.

We put fresh sod on some part and I really have to watch for them not to dig, just for the fun of digging.

7. There was once a squirrel named Cyclops, that I used to feed.
She would sit and watch me gardening and any sunflower seeds I had left over, she would plant. The grew too. It was fun to get to interact with the squirrels.

14. Believe it or not,
two of the sunflower seeds that Cyclops planted grew side by side one year. They grew about 7 feet tall, actually. Later in the spring, the goldfinches ate the seed heads. They actually hung upside down to eat them. It was a lot of fun to watch.

15. Before you will get seeds, you will get just seedlings growing everywhere
In the summer we switch to safflower that the black birds do not like, neither do the squirrels, but the chipmunks do.
