5. You just want to know how to make it your avatar?

Right-click the image, and "Save as"

Save it somewhere easy to find, like your desktop or something.

Then go to your DU options settings, under avatars and upload the image using their upload link.

Once it's uploaded just copy/paste the link they provide into the text box next to "Avatar" and you're done.

BTW: What program do you use for making avatars. I use IrfanView, because I like the simple resizing, contrast, gamma and brightness controls. Also sharpen the finished product to give it a little 'ummph'.
