Personally, from my own experience's growing up people who listen to classic rock all seemed like Repubs in waiting. Now, I realize that many aren't, and it includes a brazillion factors besides what they listen too, but I don't find these numbers surprising in the slightest.

If it makes you feel better I listen to some pretty misanthropic black metal and I wouldn't be surprised to see many of that genre's fans voting for RWers either.

34. I have a friend who's way into classic rock

He's the biggest fan of The Who and Pink Floyd I've ever met and he's a dyed-in-the-wool raving liberal lefty, so I don't know if those stats are completely accurate.

I used to post on a board dedicated to a specific brand of guitar, though, and the owner/founder was a giant, right-wing douchebag, as were a quite of few of the admins. (IMHO, of course.)

It just yanks me — during "Money" on the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" concert video, the shot inexplicably cuts to some assdip hollering "BULLSHIT!" It's like, "Dudes, we've known since 1973 that that's in there because the AM stations bleeped it. We don't need to see some Long Island suckhole jerking himself over the reason he came to the show."
