So it turns out I left my iPod at work - which inside the case is where I keep my bus pass. So it's 8:50 and takes about 7-8 minutes to get to work where there's a garage that has $6 parking before 9am. Sure, I could just pay cash for the bus but I need to go grocery shopping and when I get home from work I just don't feel like getting in my car and driving. So I'll drive into work and run errands afterwards.

And I'm doing fine timewise. I get to the street where I need to turn right and it's 8:58 and I think - good I'll make it in no problem. There's no light between me and the parking garage, which is also on the right hand side. So unless traffic is backed up at the next light I should be in before 9am.

BUT NO!!!!!!

Some dumbass fucking village idiot loser driver decides to park his truck in a non-parking zone right BEFORE the opening to the parking garage. And because it's a red light there's no way I can get into the garage until the light turns green and I get around this asshole (His blinkers were on and he was off to the side).

I swear if that asshole was there when I got out of the garage I was gonna knock on his window and demand the extra $4 he owes me because my ticket ended up with 9:01 on it.

How often its the big SUV's and trucks that are parked illeagally and incorrectly? Not saying all the SUV drivers are like this..but there seems to be a certain..arrogance to large vehicle drivers who think they are above the rules.

It's a company parking lot (and they'll ticket you if you park there for too long) but he could have safely pulled in there and parked for a few minutes. Oh, and it's a 1-way street so he could get in there without fighting opposing traffic too.

5. I can easily sympathize

I came home last week after work one day to find a silver Saturn parked in my parking spot at about a 30 degree angle, taking up my full spot and part of the one next to it.
I pay money every month to park there, but when I called the rental office to get the car towed (we don't have an on-site building manager) they said
"we like to wait a bit before towing, because usually they're just guests of someone living there, and then the renter gets mad and threatens to move out
and then we just lose money on the whole deal".

What about the renter who can't park in his paid spot because of some incompetent twit at the rental office giving me some bullshit excuse? Did they think that maybe I might get mad and move out? If the parking spots were first-come first-serve, I could understand. But I shell out $50 a month for this spot behind the building, and it damn well better be empty when I get there.

6. Aw, man.....

We have an asshole maintenance guy at work who parks half in a handicapped spot, half in a fire lane. ALL DAY. It's not a space AT ALL. Drives a big truck and has a "Stop Hanoi John" sticker on it too, so you know he's a real asshole. Security and his boss won't do anything either because he's a nut and they are scared of him.

7. Yeah, I was 'bout ready to have words with somebody 'bout their choice of parking places recently...

but I didn't end up running into her face to face.

In this case... she decided to park her big-ass transit vehicle in front of the handicapped ramp. The only one at the dialysis center.

I assumed, since she was driving a big-ass transit vehicle, that she was picking someone up from the dialysis center.

Nope. The person she was picking up wasn't ready to go yet. She just decided to park there and block the ramp. She saw me pull up behind her, waiting to get to the ramp. She just didn't care.

You'd think somebody who DRIVES HANDICAPPED PEOPLE AROUND for a living would know better than to block the only handicap ramp in front of a medical facility. Apparently not.

So yeah... my grandpa was late for dialysis because sat around waiting for her to move, only to realize that she'd parked. Then I had to spend the next few minutes helping my grandpa get up the curb.
