Anybody watch the PBS special on GWHB last night?

The second part is on here in 18 minutes and I'm gonna watch it.

1. i saw about the first hour, right up until he got his house seat. the whole Birch thing

was interesting. If you're ever looking for the book on the Bush family try and get "American Dynasty" by Kevin Phillips, he hates him the Bush family but it's supposedly a pretty accurate look and it was an excellent read.

2. They had some great video with George W. as a kid

He came across as a total goof! It was so funny to see. Peter Principle, all the way.

3. and man he looks just like his grandmother, like a frigging carbon copy.

his paternal grandmother that is. And his mother even looked like a Battle axe when she was 18.

Last night, a ball game took priority.

6. I saw part of it Monday night.

It's a shame I didn't have time for the rest of it, because the portion I saw was intriguing (It dealt with GHWB's decision on the Civil Rights Act). But fortunately PBS does rerun these programs every so often, and generally there's plenty of material online as well.
