What kind of liquor can you no longer drink?
Me:

Southern Comfort: Back when I was a kid, we could buy alcohol when we were 18. So two days after my 18th birthday, I purchased a half pint of Southern Comfort. I wanted to know how it felt to be drunk, so I chugged it down in about 10 minutes. As a result, I retched out the window, directly towards Mom, who was talking over the fence with a neighbor.

To this day, even the smell of Southern Comfort makes my queasy. I also hear a lot about Southern Comfort at family reunions.

Never. Again. Ever.

White Wine too.

Otherwise, I'm cool, although I don't have a taste for brown liquors. :)

I've got nothing against it, nor the folks that like it. BUT, the Busch league shit is no longer welcome in the ole tummy.

I'm no beer elitist, either. I like my micros, but the middle of the price scale brews are fine as well.

9. That sweet stuff never mixes
Gin got knocked off the list back at the University of Missouri when a bunch of us geniuses decided to eat brownies and drink gin until 3 in the morning.

It's a pretty toxic combination, probably somewhat akin to rum and cherry kool-aid.

40. I wouldn't even try it now
After college graduation 3 of us went to New Orleans for a little fun. We could drink it then, but I wouldn't dare touch it now. It was OK with soda. Some time in my mid 20's a switch flipped and I just couldn't drink and stay up late without feeling crappy. Plus the novelty wears off a couple years after being old enough to buy it. :D

17. Raspberry vodka.

My old roommate and a friend of ours from high school decided to enjoy some raspberry vodka one night at the apartment. We were initially mixing it with Sprite, which made it taste really, really good. Then, once we were a little drunk, we started doing straight shots of it. Baaaad idea.

Fast forward to about 12:30 am, and we're all lying on the floor in the living room, staring at the ceiling. I finally decided it was time for bed, tried to stand up, and promptly fell down. So, I crawled to my bedroom, climbed into bed, then promptly shoved myself into the far corner and clung to my bed for dear life - the room was spinning so fast at that moment, I was actually afraid I was going to fly off and hit the ceiling.

So the next morning, I woke up with the worst hangover of my life, and staggered into the kitchen to get some breakfast... And then I nearly puked, because in our drunkitude we had not only spilled some of the raspberry vodka on the counter in the kitchen, but we had also left the bottle open all night. The entire place stunk of the stuff.

Needless to say, that was a pretty unpleasant moment. These days, I can't even LOOK at raspberry vodka without feeling a little queasy.

Also, not saying I wouldn't drink them again, but I've had bad times with Irish carbombs (and I don't mean the IRA :rimshot: ). St. Patrick's Day '06 ended with a long cycle of puking and lying down and getting up to puke again, and then a year later I fell face-first on the sidewalk and broke two teeth. Multiple carbombs were involved in both incidents.

No dramatic run-in with the stuff to turn me off of it or anything. I was never a big wine drinker, but I usually had a glass or two with dinner once a week, twice if I was stressed. ;) But lately (over the past couple of months or so), completely out of the blue, I've found I don't like the taste anymore, not even something light, like chardonnay. In fact, I had half a glass last night and it was like somebody put roadkill under my tongue--had this HORRIBLE taste in my mouth, and woke up with it this morning as well. Blech.

52. Either vodka or schnapps
I've never been a big drinker, especially spirits. But once and a while I would take a shot socially. Then a few of us went down to the Sinai. Everyone coming back was getting sick. Probably from the bread sold by the Bedouin kids. They were literally snotty faced and being kids sometimes played with the bread when they were supposed to be flogging it.

Anyway, I had some vodka or schnapps just before the bug hit me. I was doubly ill. Now I can't even stand the aroma of it.

59. Tequila is my third banned liquor
Tequila made my gag list during my early New York period. There was a restaurant named Caramba! that sold insidious margaritas. They snuck up on you, then decked you, then did a samba in your intestines.

I am happy to say, that since my late 20s, I almost never drink any more. When I do, I reserve it for special occasions. I guzzled Tsingtao and soju boilermakers at my boss' 40th birthday party, for example. (Tempered with well-timed ingestions of cold water, this combo produced a pleasant and mildly hallucenogenic buzz.)

I downed six water glasses of Guinness and a shot of Jameson at my cousin's funeral two weeks ago, but then, even my abstemious octogenarian aunt consumed five glasses of red wine. Everybody said my cousin would have wanted it that way.

...for about eleven and a half years now.

But back when I was still drinking, I had already been "done" with tequila for about fifteen years. When I was around 20 yrs old, I went heads with an older gentleman at some new year's eve party...double shots, back and forth. I remember drinking 6 of 'em. My friend swears I drank 12 (I doubt it). I didn't remember anything past 6pm. I woke up at home the next day, and wished I hadn't. But from then on, zero tequila. Like the original poster, I can't even handle the smell.

70. I have money, yet I still drink 40's of Crazy Eight
Also King Cobra, Steel Reserve 211 or Mickey's. I prefer to think I'm "keepin' it real", but more likely it is a case of arrested development.

71. Most of it
Let me clarify--I don't drink anymore. I had a Grasshopper on my birthday and I gave thanks that it had very little alcohol in it. It's about all I can do. I go for virgin drinks now, and don't apologize for it. :)
