Cosmetic Question:
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 03:54 PM by Goldberg
I've been going to the gym now for about three months. Since then, I've increased the mass of my muscles a little bit. I've also noticed that I've been getting these purple and red marks on the skin around my biceps, and I believe they are stretch marks, if I'm not mistaken.

My question is: How do I get rid of them? They're ugly and I hate seeing them in the mirror everyday.

Edit: It's embarrassing to ask this because my friends don't have this sort of problem.

1. Cocoa Butter: But that's what the recommend for pregnant women
Every pregger woman I've ever know has slathered tons of cocoa butter over their stretch marks. Try that!

5. Break open 1000mg Vitamin E tablets, rub onto stretch marks, then lie in
the sun. The marks, if they are stretch marks, will fade to silvery white on their own over a period of years. Anything else will only slightly speed the process. Stretch marks are forever, baby. Ask any woman who has had a baby...

you just killed my good mood. :(

Gaining a lot of weight causes stretch marks...working out causes stretch marks. I guess it's a no-win situation.

7. StriVectin
Advertised as the stretch mark killer. Can't vouch for it but it appears to have caught people's attention and is also being used to fight wrinkles.
