This is the joke my 9 yr old just told at the dinner table.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I did...

21. Good thing he didn't read Norman Mailer, or he'd be saying "fug" all the time.
:P

As Tallulah Bankhead (allegedly) said, "So you're the young man who can't spell fuck..."

6. Why shoudn't you laugh
It's a great joke for a 9 yr old. He possibly knew you would think something else, its the joy of a child's mind to really mess with a parents mind lol Enjoy his innocence. They grow up so fast, enjoy his childhood with him.

13. I agree with Angel
Clearly the joke implies that the child understands that "Fuck" is a word he or she isn't supposed to say. That's all you really need to get through as a parent.

Personally, I think the French have a much more sensible attitude about words like that: why add a word to your language if no one is supposed to use it?

16. I can understand your problem with that. :D
I just find this all amusing because in my house growing up no one cared about swear words.

11. I (innocently) told my mom that joke

I must have been about that age.

I was quite surprised by the spanking that occurred shortly thereafter. :(

20. Very cute. LOL
Reminds me of the time we were all gathered at the dinner table (six kids, five of which were girls) and my little brother at approx. age 6 asked my dad "What makes Peter Pan fly?" When dad responded that he didn't know, little brother replied, "If someone hit your peter with a pan, you'd fly, too!" We all had to get up and leave the table. :rofl:

What is it that all men have one of;
it's longer on some men than on others;
the pope doesn't use his;
and a man gives it to his wife after they're married?

A: His last name.
