Poll question: Which '60s sitcom star did you have a crush on?
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 01:41 PM by faygokid
I admit, and remember, Samantha and Ellie Mae. But, for those of you old enough to remember (or TV Land fans), who was the ultimate hottie?

1. I voted "other"
My crush was on Wally, from "Leave It to Beaver".

VERY early 60's...but the 60's nevertheless.

:-)

20. Wow...
Tuesday Weld played Thalia Menninger, the golddigging girl that Dobie couldn't get. But the producers couldn't keep her either, Weld quit after the first season to do movies, returning occasionally in later seasons to boost Dobie's libido (and ratings). It was not an amicable split. "She just wasn't a pro" Dwayne Hickman told the press after Weld left the show, "Late to work, late getting back from lunch, no sense of responsibility to the show."

I loved that show. Grandma lived with us when I started college (immigrant from Sweden, born 1895; long gone). When I went to classes (late 60s, early 70s), we would watch it together in reruns before I left for class. Great memories. And, Connie Hines was a total babe. Thanks for the memories.

"Hubba! Hubba!
23 skiddoo!
Chicken Inspector!"
--Bugs Bunny

Now, I hope you'll defer to my superior knowledge of Looney Tunes, but what I always wanted to know is exactly how the term "Chicken Inspector!" was used sexaully in the 20s-30s-40s?

I mean, did dudes go up to farmhouses and pretend to be the Chicken Inspector, then when the folks went out to the barn to round up the chickens it was time for the Chciken Inspector to get busy with the Farmer's Daughter???

:wtf:

So THERE! Now I'm off on a tangent and making no sense at all!

Ask your parents/grandparents about the term Chicken Inspector. Got a feeling they might know. How the hell do you think all of us billions on this planet got here? OK, I answered your question (weak answer, I admit). Now, who is The Babe you selected in my poll?

30. Marcia Brady
Real name: Maureen McCormick. I know it's considered a '70s show, but I think its first year was '69, so she gets in there under the wire. And if I'm wrong, well, I don't care. For me and Jan Brady, it's always been the same lament: "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!"

I think you are thinking of the daughter Marilyn, who was played by two women. There was only one Lily, and that was Yvonne DeCarlo, a fine actress. Thanks for reminding us about Donna Reed and Shelley Fabares. Donna was one of those beauties with a long, slow fire under her.

80. Please feel free to do a poll about males.
