Would this likely change the terms of my plan? For the better or worse? Would I be paying more or less? Would I get more territory outside of the roaming zone? I'm not an expert on these things.

2. Uh....
Read any news or cut on the TV. It's everywhere. Cingular (BellSouth) bought AT&T Wireless.

3. Just found it.
Yikes! So this takes AT&T out of the wireless business. Looks like ol' Ma Bell is getting her kids back.

4. When I shopped around late last year...
Cingular was the best deal for me. Love that rollover policy.

I imagine that AT&T will be phased out. Typically in these cases, since you have a contract, you should be able to keep your old plan, or choose to switch to a Cingular plan.

7. I have AT&T as well
and when we moved here my house is in an area where we have no service. Hopefully that will change. Fingers crossed.

8. I think it means
that now your unused minutes will roll over to the next month, for one thing.

9. Thanks for asking this question!

I've been wondering this myself.

Hopefully it only means something GOOD.
