It's phonetic, with vowels like Italian or Spanish. J=y, so "plej" is pronounced like the English word "play".

Always put the accent on the next-to-the-last syllable.

Babelfish is "translation" for monolingual Americans who know nothing about foriegn languages.

If you don't believe me, try it some time. Take a random passage of English, run it through the language of your choice, and then run it back into English. See if it doesn't make you giggle.

I usually use it for news articles, and while I admit that it does translate some words in a weird way, My command of the English Language and the subject I am reading isusually good enough for me to figure out the misunderstandings created in Babelfish.

But you are right, it does create some laughable translations, but given the option of missing a totally great article because I can't read it, I'll use Babelfish and trust my own judgemnt to be able to figure out if the translation is accurate.

hominus is not classical Latin, but rather homo, hominis. Homo really means mankind. If you are talking about a specific man, use vir.

In mundo vir odiatissimus

(odiatus is a simple way to say hated--other ways are more difficult and use esse, to be, in their form)

edit: Oops, forgot pronunciation--two ways:

Classical Latin: een moondoe weer oh-dee-aw-tiss-ee-moose

No one speaks pinyin- if you find a native Mandarin speaker they might be able to read it for you (but they could probably also just translate for you.)

I wouldn't trust my ability to explain the pronunciation. If you want native speakers to be able to understand the line, it's probably a good idea to get a local teacher to coach your actors.
