Ever feel like you've got a giant weight on your shoulders?
Like some kind of boulder you can never let go of, carrying it on your back? Arms wrapped around behind?

Makes you struggle sometimes.

What is it?

Can you just let it go. Just let go of it. And it falls away, and you can stand up straight again?

Or do you have to carry it, onward, it is your....something, and you are not done until you get it to where it needs to be?

I feel it. I feel it's weight upon me. On my back.

WTF is it?

2. Worry
At least that what it is for me. And when a particular worry gets eliminated, that rock turns into a feather.

5. Been there.
That weight can get real sometimes.

Mine took 3 years to get rid of.

Never want to go back there again.

9. Clinical depression probably.
You need psychiatric treatment as it does not go away on its own. In the mean time there is information in books and on the web about reducing its effect. Make sure you are looking at reliable, medical information. There are quacks out there that publish nonsense in an effort to make money on other people's desperation.

10. Yup
I call it reality. I avoided it for years and now I get backaches.

I'll get there...

"one day"

I hope your load lessens as you go.

11. Fear
If we really think about it, we'd see it's the underpinning to all our problems in life. Fear of losing love or not finding love, fear of losing a job or not finding a job, fear of the economy, fear of politicians, fear of our own weaknesses, fear of our strengths being turned against us, fear of not keeping up with our neighbors, fear of being disliked, fear of being betrayed, fear of death, fear of life, etc. etc. etc.

Getting rid of fear is our biggest challenge. We're raised on it, encouraged to use it as a motivator. How do we chuck all that and believe we're good enough and we'll survive--and do just fine--no matter what?

Right now the weight on my shoulders is a bunch of impending deadlines for my freelance work ganging up on me. Translation: I fear not completing my stories in time. Can I shrug it off and just believe I'll get it all done in time? I struggle with that all the time.

'Course, it doesn't help that I'm wasting a few minutes in here instead of doing my work... :P

12. No, normally I feel it on my ass.
:D

seriously, I think what you're talking about is stress and worry...that literally weights you down, with its negative energy.

I try to dispel those feelings by taking care of myself, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Get regular exercise

Get enough sleep, eat well

Take hot baths. Hot water can be sooo healing.

Keep your heart open and stay in THE NOW. Stress and worry take you out of the present moment, which causes confusion and suffering.

Remember you are loved. Hang out with good friends. Laugh, have fun, enjoy life!

:hi:  Remember: whatever you're feeling :This, too, shall pass.....
