Are Webkinz Tools Of The Devil?

I have only recently been introduced to Webkinz

http://www.webkinz.com/us_en/

my son got a couple of them the other night. He now can log onto their web site and it is like a virtual world for him, and he wants more webkinz.

I didn't even know what the hell he was talking about the other day.

Now I know un poquito about webkinz. I'm sure to learn more.

It takes his mind off Sponge Bob, but on the other hand, it takes his mind off his homework too :P

3. oh yeah, you can even buy the stuffed animals or lumps or whatever they are.
it seems to be a certain age that really digs that stuff and then they move on. My daughter was a huge fan a website that had all imaginary animals and then she hit right around 11 1/2 and poof, that was over.

4. You have no idea....
Your best course of action right now would be to tell him it went out of business and never let him on it again. It will save you heartache in the long run, trust me.

13. It's funny that they pick up their clothes & toys in Webkinz world!
And..they can't stuff it all into their dresser drawers either. I watched my granddaughter attempt that in her virtual room..had to secretly laugh because it wouldn't allow her to throw everything in dresser. Tee Hee. Too bad it doesn't work like that in the real world.

Do you know they can invite friends/relatives with webkinz too. My two granddaughters and several of each of their classmates have all invited each other.

Hope your little guy has fun.

15. Nah, they're just wannabes.
Pokemon were the originals.

Gotta catch 'em all... that's a subtle attempt to inspire our children to commit all seven of the deadly sins.

16. we have so many freakin pokemon cards still and another other show, it's not monsters
Edited on Wed Apr-30-08 10:29 PM by chimpsrsmarter
but it was kind of cartoon, like yoogy something or other, tins of those cards and "The special ones" that got their own plastic sleeve. My daughter is now 13 1/2 and hasn't even looked at them in at least 3 years. I wonder if those shows are still popular and if so i should find some youngin to give those cards to.

17. Yu-gi-o, I believe is the name.
And it's one of the dumbest cartoons of its sort that I've seen in a LONG time. They take their card playing a little too seriously.

20. We have not gone there yet
At our big school fundraiser, the kids bringing in the most money got to choose prizes... among them were Webkinz and K was lower on the list and all the Webkinz were gone.

She got "Moon Shoes" and was thrilled.

She still wants a Webkinz.
