Poll question: Your favorite Kevin Smith work
you know, The Jersey Chronicles!!

I love great films, and while Kevin Smith ISN'T a great film maker, his work definitely says alot about people, and is hilarious while doing it.
For you really big Kevin Smith fans I recommend "An Evening with Kevin Smith" it's a Q&A of him at several Colleges. It's very funny and a great source of info on Smith, his friends, and his movies.

1. Have to say Dogma.
I mean, Clerks is a classic and probably the most important one to Smiths career, but Dogma is so delightfully dark in its humour.

3. Clerks the cartoon.
It's really sad that they only showed six episodes of it.

5. Mallrats.
It may not be his "best" movie, but I don't stop laughing for longer than 30 seconds the whole way through.

And I've seen it around 25 times.

6. Xena Princess Warrior
He played Ares god of war. He died in a fall during the filming of a movieI believe. The cast of Xena and myself were heart broken.

I will always love you Kevin! :loveya:

He had fallen from 3 stories while in China after just finishing filming the movie "Warriors of Virtue II". He was in ICU for several days and eventually died in his sleep. 23. I have the Olaf shirt!
It says Berserker on the front under a pic of Olaf singing, and on the back it says "The Fuck Your American Blue Jeans World Tour" with a list of really random concert dates. Plus, it's Long Sleeve!

14. I can't believe Dogma has such an overwhelming lead...
imo, it's one of the worst movies i've seen in the last ten years. It was dogmatic, boring and completely unfunny. The worst Smith movie for sure, which isn't really saying much...

That said, Chasing Amy gets my vote...

16. It wasn't as bad as "Slacker".
I know that's not Smith, but I don't know if I'll have a better opportunity today to slag the worst film-maker in the world, Richard Linklater.

He sucks.

And "Slacker"...I've dug better movies out of my cats' ears.

19. i have to agree....
....on both "dogma"'s lack of watchability and "chasing amy"'s superiority.

that said, the reason i find "dogma" so disappointing is because it had the potential to be a really smart, ballsy, defiant movie. instead we got a shit demon and not nearly enough george carlin.

21. Kevin Smith: Money Back If Dissatisfied
http://www.imdb.com/PeopleNews//#4

Hollywood director Kevin Smith is so confident his latest movie Jersey Girl is a masterpiece, he's offering a ticket refund to anyone dissatisfied with it. Smith, who directs Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in the film, claims Affleck has given the performance of his life in the forthcoming movie. But he does admit to worrying about how the critical and commercial mauling given to the ex-couple's last film, Gigli, will affect the box-office takings of Jersey Girl. Smith says, "After Gigli, I was, like, 'Oh man - our jobs just got much harder.' But it's not Gigli 2: Bennifer Strikes Back. We're a comeback picture. Affleck has never been as good as he is here. If you're not satisfied, I'd be willing to stand at the door of theaters and be like, 'You don't have to pay.'"
