I had a MAJOR Brush With Greatness tonight !
I was eating dinner in an Applebee's Restaurant. Three tables away at the corner table --- Jerrod, the former fat guy, who does the Subway commercials !! No lie.

Subway Jerrod was eating dinner at Applebees ! heheheh.

Now I didn't see what he had for dinner, but he was definitely having a beer after dinner was over. Let's hope for his sake it was a Lite Beer. I didn't see any Subway wrappers laying around either, so he didn't bring in a Veggie Sub either.

Maybe he didn't even eat food, maybe he was just in there getting sloshed.

I thought about asking him for his autograph on an Applebee's napkin, but I didn't have a Sharpie with me. His party even strolled out the front door as we were leaving, but I didn't get to see what type of ride he was getting into.

So that was my major excitement for the evening. Well actually, probably for the decade, given my life.

1. Say, so where's Jerrod from
If you don't mind disclosing your location. It must have been kind of exciting to see him there. I know I get kind of a rush from seeing famous people up close.

3. Dennis is the man
So, did you get to exchange any words with him? What was it like to be up there with him?

5. Now, now, I don't wanna be a threadjacker.
After all, one does see Jared on TV a lot more often than one sees Dennis (grrrr).

Didn't talk to him much this time, but I've spent a couple of hours speaking to him on various occasions. 'Tis a hell of a man that Dennis.

Now no more about DK. I jack not threads. Back to Jared-talk.

6. I take it he's off the diet?
Edited on Mon Feb-16-04 09:59 PM by tridim
Applebees isn't exactly a health food restaurant. Maybe it's different now, but when I used to work there almost everything was greased up good before service. The ribs were basted in bacon fat. :P

Edit: My favorite brush with greatness was Harrison Ford in NYC. I was just happy he said hello back because I've heard he's very private. I went to school with Paul Rudd, so he doesn't count.

7. You had a brush with former greatness
Since the diet, Jerrod is not so great as he once was.

Oh! You mean the fame sort of great. Never mind.

8. Jerrod or Jared as he may be may be formerly great but
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 09:44 PM by sinookas
He had almost an entire episode of South Park devoted to fun being made of him, so he is still sort of great in my book.
The Applebees was in Indiana.

A person I was with suggested walking past him on the way out, which I did and, and saying, "See ya later fatso." Which I didn't say. Thought about it though.

He is still thin anyway.
