How should I apologize to my puppy?
Robert Novak called Dean supporters 'nutbags' and I threw my paperback at the TV; it bounced off and smacked Brody on the head and scared him. I'm cuddling him and rubbing his tummy. Need I do more? :P

2. No, he's already forgotten all about it.
He's just happy that you're rubbing his belly!

the night. And then :spank: yourself.

5. YES! The poor dog.
How could you subject a sweet little puppy to Bob Novak! Just because you choose to watch him is no reason to torture an animal that way.

; - )

Seriously, I also watch the Conswervatives sometimes, but I try to make sure the pets are out of the room.

13. I've already given him a Milk Bone.
Of course, I had to give Grover one too, since it wouldn't do to slight HIM. :)

14. Its a delicate balance
to not offend one when comforting the other. Sounds like you are doing an admirable job!

10. Admit you're human and that humans make mistakes (he knows this already)
And give him lots of loving, as you are doing...rub his head, massage his ears...let him know that you know he would never have done the same to you. Doesn't matter if it was unintentional...he's not delving into your motives.

Each time you pick up a book now and he flinches...apoligize all over again..cause they remember. Oh, how they remember. Fortunately, dogs don't hold grudges the way cats do. If they did, I'd warn you to seek cover. :)

My cats are very petty...

12. LOL! Yeah, cats hold grudges.
I accidentally splashed Sid with a drop of grease one time while I was frying chicken, and when I do it now, he won't get within 10 feet of me. :P

16. I once doused my snake
I was going to moisten the mulch in his hidey-bowl and didn't realize he was in the bottom. I dumped a bunch of water on him. I got him out and dried him out, and he was fine.

Your puppy loves you.

17. Yeah, he does.
He and grover are playing with the tug toy, and all seems hunky-dory now. :)
