Dear Tide:

I'm writing to say what an excellent product you have! I've used it since the beginning of my married life, when my Mom told me it was the best.

Now that I am older and going through menopause, I find it even better! In fact, about a month ago I spilled red wine on my new white blouse. My unfeeling and uncaring husband started to berate me about how clumsy I was and generally became a pain in the neck.

One thing led to another and I ended up with a lot of his blood on my white blouse. I tried to get the stain out using a bargain detergent, but it just wouldn't come out. A quick trip to the supermarket and I had a bottle of liquid Tide with bleach alternative. To my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out! In fact, the stains came out so well that some detectives who came by yesterday told me that the DNA tests were negative and my attorney said that I would no longer be considered a suspect!

I thank you, once again, for having such a great product.

Well, gotta go. I have to write a letter to the Hefty bag people...

ain't to be messed with... This was not an anti-male or male bashing joke.

We women poke jokes about PMS and menopause all the time, but really we're not that bad.

Just keep a large supply of chocolate on hand at all times and constantly offer it freely to us and you'll have us eating out of your hand.

6. Oh, I got the point...

I was in a card shop one day and saw a joke about your husband struggling means you're not holding the pillow tight enough. Substitute the word wife for husband and see what you get.

About 12 years ago, the editor of an extremely classified magazine I used to get put the "30 reasons beer is better than women" joke in as a filler. (Reason 22: Your beer won't get mad if you have another beer.) He was a captain when he did it and a civilian after. Six months later, the now-female editor of the same magazine ran "50 ways cucumbers are better than men." No reaction. She edited the book for the next year. Same basic joke. Different reaction. Far different.

Tell ya what: if you don't tell me any more menopausal woman jokes, I won't tell you why God created women.
