Flowcharting software?
I am redesigning a webpage for a client.

I need to create a flowchart diagram showing a site map of the existing site and then a new layout of the revised site.

Is there an easy, inexpensive software that'll let me do this?

My workplace standardizes on Visio, but my client can't afford the extra money for just one project... (they can spare the money, but again, it's just for one project and likely won't be used in the future. I feel that doesn't justify the cost.)

Either an older version of Micrografx/ABC/Igrafx Flow Charter or maybe Visual Thought (Free AFAIR).

Edit:
//snip
Visual Thought is a cross-platform diagramming & flowcharting tool for the enterprise that runs on Windows 95/NT and UNIX. It lets you effortlessly create technical and documentation graphics, network diagrams, flowcharts, org charts, software design diagrams (UML, Booch, OMT, Objectory, etc.), circuit & logic diagrams and business and presentation graphics. Choose from a library of drag-and-drop palettes, or create your own with user-definable shapes. Edit your work easily with 100 levels of undo. Publish your diagrams into Word or FrameMaker documents or right onto the Web with GIF and JPEG output and instant clickable imagemaps.

Visual Thought moves ideas onto the screen quickly by making it easy for the user to drag-and-drop shapes and make rubberbanding connections between objects. The tool is used by engineers, software developers and technical professionals to draw flowcharts, software diagrams, process and block diagrams, network diagrams, organizational charts, circuit and logic diagrams, and even World Wide Web graphics.

Since being acquired by E*TRADE, Inc. in September 1999, Confluent ceased development, support and sales of Visual Thought. However, you can now download the full version for free. It's good for 14 years and you can install it on as many computers as you like.

License Keys for Visual Thought: Windows: 0356 9674 3262 8895 9914 96

Be sure and copy this key and use it after install

A "Home Site" and download for this software seems to be unavailable. I have uploaded the file to Freeware4u.com :)

5. Yeah,
I liked Micrografix ABC flow charter a lot.

I didn't much use it after I started working in the UML.

6. MS Office has an org. chart program
it's kind of clunky, but it's part of the suite and therefore free. It might do the job for you - but nothing is as versatile and cool as Visio.

9. Thanks all!
We're not allowed to use Linux in the organization.

Most of the options are free trial periods, so I'll likely use one of those and export it to another format, if possible.

Visio, which is our official standard, costs too much $ - typical Microsoft. (odd, their prices always go up, even when they outsource jobs to foreign countries...)

The crap org chart in Word might have to suffice if I can't export it.

It's sad. For something as simple as this and it costs that much money...

11. Poseidon and Argo look like they run fine on Windows
All they need is Java2 from Sun.

This is not classic flowcharting, but UML (which I think is preferable).
