We made it to Maine and guess what? Dude we were going to rent from forgot to cover up insulation in the ceiling and install a carpet on the floor. Ha ha...big joke. Fucking loser.

So, we are staying at a nice, expensive hotel in North Conway NH and frantically calling newspaper ads for rentals. Of course, it only makes sense that rentals in the wilderness DO NOT ACCEPT PETS! WTF? These people are dreamers. They also want $1300 for a shithole. Ha ha...another big joke.

I'll try checking back later tonight with you all. I'm going to a "meeting" tonight in order to find some of my old homies. Oh, and yeah...my poor cat is living in my car because in the wilderness of New Hampshire hotels DO NOT ACCEPTS PETS! WTF?

Oh, and trip up was a fucking trip. Seriously. We slept in the car our third night because the motels in CT cannot accomodate 26' trucks. WTF?

the landlord will probably accept cats, I have one, the woman across the hall has two (indoor), it's right near center town of Newburyport, and it's 875/month I think.

He'd probably swing a short rental. It isn't Maine, but it's empty.

Check out the "pet friendly" hotel websites. I would think that a cat would be more welcome than a dog, since they don't bark! I stayed at a Marriott in San Diego and met several dogs that were staying there, and it was a residence inn, where people stay for an extended period, for business and such. I asked and people with pets were required to pay a fee, to give the room an extra cleaning in case the next guest had allergies. And the dogs had to be under 50 lbs. (and if your cat isn't, you have bigger problems than finding accommodations, LOL.), but I met a beautiful Golden who was there from Hawaii, and he certainly wasn't!:D

Found some reasonable motels in this area. I'm gonna call them and see if they do weekly rates. This place cracks me up. If I didn't know it wo well, I'd swear everyone here was paranoid. Which, BTW, they all are...the sober ones anyhow. the drunks just don't care enough to talk to you.

Your poor kitty shouldn't have to stay in the car, and this one lists places that accommodate both cats and dogs. These people can't be that paranoid, if they accept pets, and they are probably sober, too, at least while on the job, LOL. Let us know how you make out, and good luck!:hi:

And I hate to think of your kitty, stuck in the car. In my experience, most cats aren't good travelers, but I had one exception, and you also seem to. :-)

What about the major chains, like Marriott, which I know accepts pet guests, or Holiday Inn, which I've seen on these pet-friendly sites? I imagine that you'd prefer a smaller venue, but some of these places loan you a cat or dog for your stay, but you're ahead of the game, having brought your own... I'd just call and ask, since a cat would be much more acceptable than a possibly noisy dog, I'd think, having had both.;)
