Edited on Tue Apr-15-08 02:17 PM by Finnfan
That's right: Sept. 4th, Washington Redskins vs. the World Champion NY Giants, at Giants stadium.

It's a shame the Redskins will start their season with a loss. :P

On edit: added the "World Champion" part. :D

28. The Skins lost a great coach and one of the best defensive coordinators in the game
I don't think they will pose much of a threat to the World Champs.

By October he will be an overwhelming distraction. I actually think the Giants will have a tougher time with the Eagles. :D

15. From my humble research
McFadden will not be available by the time the Cowboys get a pick. And as a Razorback fan I can say that Jones is as good if not better then McFadden unless you want a passing running back. I'd be surprised if Jones is available for the Cowboys. Jones is a HOSS! A very fast HOSS! If a team has a running back need they won't go wrong with either of these guys. The "experts" have McFadden going to the Jets. I wanted them to stay their senior year but what the heck!

37. They don't want McFadden. Too high a draft pick for a part-time runner.
Not that McFadden's a part-time runner, but with Marion Barber, the Cowboys would only use him part time. Felix is one of their top interests.

Although don't be stunned if Jones trades a first round pick (they have two) for a wide receiver like Roy Williams or Anquon Bouldin (yeah, no clue how that's really spelled).

Damned ESPN. I WANT MY LIFE BACK!!!!

38. You bet! And that wild card will probably knock us out in the first round.
Again. :(

(I don't actually believe that, which is why I watch every freaking minute of every season, then walk away after the first playoff game shaking my head. How the F8CK couldn't Romo just hold the damn snap...)

12. Man - I'll have to root for the lesser of two evils....
We Eagles fans have a hate-o-meter, in this order:
DALLAS FUCKING COWGIRLS - don't even get me started;
NY GIANTS - it's the NJ/NY thing, plus Jeremy Shockey makes me want to go buy a gun;
WASHINGTON REDSKINS - nothing against them really, just division rivals

So, from that meter, I should be rooting for the Skins; BUT.....I am SO DAMN PROUD of Eli and Mike Strahan. Watching them whoop T.O. and Romo's asses was SWEET!!!!!!!!! We Philly fans have had it up TO HERE with T.O. and his f'in melodrama.

Decisions, decisions. :)

44. Just a casual Baseball fan, so I don't go to games down in Philly
If I go down to Philly it's to go to their great zoo or the street (forget the name) that's sort of like the Village in NYC.

49. I think you're referring to South Street. I've had alot
of great times there. Great music, great food, great shopping, great artist - and never a dull moment. :)

As for the Mets/Phils games, I've only gone to one of those, and that was enough. I don't think I'll ever go again, it was that bad.

My brother and I went - and thank goodness I didn't bring my kids. Hundreds of Mets fans came down for the game, and I would have to say that most of them were already fired up on alcohol. They started fights during the tailgate, and it only got worse in the stadium. By the end of the evening, there was quite the police presence, and it wasn't even a playoff game! Sheesh. Even worse, I don't even remember who won that game, since most of us were paying attention to all the fights in the stands instead of the game on the field. I had always made a point in the past, to get tickets that were on the lower levels, because it was always the upper levels that had the rowdy fans. The Mets fans set a new precedent that night. ;)

My brother and I are still trying to determine which was worse - that game, or the Cowboys/Eagles tailgates/games, which get really out of control too.

As for your comment earlier about the "jail cell"....LOL! Would you believe I was at the game that caused that to happen? It was Monday Night Football, and we were playing the 49ers. I love both teams, so I was really excited. One section away from me, a fight broke out when a drunk 49er fan stood up after Jerry Rice got a touchdown. He turned around, looked at all the bare-chested, drunk Eagles fans behind him, and yelled something (I don't know what). Next thing I know, the dudes got up, and one of them picked up 49er big-mouth, lifted him over his head, and THREW him down 5 rows!!!! I'll never forget it. While I do think their reaction was way off the charts, I can't say he didn't have it coming. :)

ohio (and the midwest in general) gets the worst of both worlds. In winter, we get blizzards. In summer, 100% humidity and clouds of mosquito's.
