1. I'd like to. It depends on having transportation $$ and vacation time.
Practical matters won't be solid until the time gets closer.

3. Just remember

Dress in Chachies and blue blazers with red ties. Where more crazy GOP button then a server at Bennigans. Bring plackard in support of Bush.

Once you've made it among the Bush supports and avoided the "free speech zone (30x30 pen in New Jersey), turn your plackards over to reveal your anti-Bush message. Make sure you bring a Camera-man to film how your treated by our "friendly" secret service agents (turned Bush thugs).

2. Half of New York (nm)

I'm guessing that those firefighters will protest. Actually, they should just bring a bill. They never got all the money that Bush promised.

4. Keep In Mind..........

the NYPD is preparing for the protests that will take place during the convention and will be more than ready to take on those that will be participating in them.......our city's "finest" are usually not the friendly and welcoming type.......

6. Not trying to scare anyone.........

i'm definitely going to be there along with many others but knowing the mindset and ways of the NYPD, especially their treatment of those that participate in protests, I just wanted to point out that they've been given all kinds of special training in preparation for all the protests and related activities that will be held during the convention and people should be aware of that and be ready for it.........

11. Review Miami
If you think it is a good time, don't whine later. If you want to make a differnce seek CBS and NBC Fox and you now the rest. Take the story to the media. That's what they crave. Republicans are so nothing. Attack the enablers not the turds.

10. Me! But we definately need a theme...
A massive and ugly protest can backfire. Think, Chicago '68.

17. If I'm in town, I'm there!!!
Assuming I'm not working some show or something.

Anyway, damn straight I'll protest. I'll probably be pissed off more about how they will shut down certain subway lines and buses because they go "near" the convention and hotels. Fuck the RNC to hell and I hope they burn there.

19. I haven't heard of any subway lines getting shutdown.......

I can't imagine the city would close the 34th street station, it's one of the most important and neccessary ones but I guess anything is possible once the date of the convention approaches.......

20. Oh, friend, just wait....
Remember, they wanted to shut down the Tube during Shrub's visit to London.

They will shut down Subway lines and New Yorkers will be pissed as hell. Certainly, when * decides to visit....

If they close the Broadway Line, wow, that will be like shooting themselves in the foot. Outside of the Lex Av line, Broadway is the heaviest traveled in Manhattan. The pure anger of people already directed at MTA on a daily basis will boil over to the RNC!!! HA!

I'm willing to bet that certain stations or lines will be closed. It's possible to by-pass 34th st Station though a rarely used cut-off, it'd be busy as hell trying to drive four lines though two single tracks, but who knows.

21. I plan on being there if I can get vacation
Our company has major rollouts this summer and their limiting the amount of vacation during that time (and no, I'm not losing any vacation, just given 9 months to take my 4 weeks - but I have a request for that week)
