Iron Jawed Angels is an excellent movie.

Just watched it on HBO and was impressed. The story and acting was outstanding.

Those women were not afraid to take a stand for what was right. As gay person today with Republicans telling me I should enjoy my second class citizenship and many democrats telling me to be sit quietly and be patient, I could really sympathize with work of those women who knew how it felt to be treated differently (and still have a long way to go).

Being in my fifties I realize that women haven't had the right to vote all that long.

5. I didn't like it

not because of the story, but the way the film was made. What was up with that soundtrack? The dialogue was awful, it was like a high school stage production. It did get better toward the end.

I would have liked a little less stylistic treatment of this important subject.

And didn't find the dialogue bad at all.

I think the purpose of having a modern soundtrack was to help reach a younger audience. It didn't distract from the movie at all for me.

but I started watching and couldn't get into it. It just didn't grab me.

I watched them peacefully picketing and being attacked and accused of treason for accusing a "war time president" of misconduct.
