I have to think about this myself, but if you know how to answer, by all means start without me.

4. Well, let's see...

I'm idealistic, but pragmatic. I believe "There but for the grace of
God (fate, fortune, other)go I" is valid and therefore that we as a nation as well as we as individuals must make sure that everyone in this country has adequate housing, food, medical care, and education, not just minimum standards.

I believe that hard work as well as smart work should be well rewarded, but also that those who benefit the most should give back the most.

I would learn as much as I could from anyone who could help in the job. I would gather as much information as possible from as many differert sources as possible before making decisions...

There's more, but it's hard typing with a metal splint on my left index finger. Whacked my finger instead of an nail last week and I think I cracked the bone. :-( And darn if almost every word doesn't have a R,T,F,G,V, or BV in it!!!!

8. My sense of humor.
Story:
When walking into a cabinet meeting, Abe Lincoln told a very bad joke (said joke is unrecorded), and was brought to task by the Sec. of War: how can you laugh and tell jokes when so many are dying?
Lincoln's response: I must laugh because if I didn't laugh, I'd cry, and the President cannot be seen crying, that is all.

Edited on Tue Jul-08-03 09:47 PM by The Lone Liberal
That is pretty strong and entertaining. I would go around to county fairs, making speeches about things I had no intention of doing and catching cannonballs with stomach.

Actually, that's why I would never get elected president or to any office for that matter. I say exactly what I think whether other people like it or not.

20. I think I have shown that my strongest point is delegation
Since I let so many of you answer first.

I am also a pretty good brainstormer. I love brainstorming with other people. So if a problem came across my desk, I would approach it from several different angles, and invite as many different angles from other people--perhaps by starting a thread right here at DU--and forge a consensus around the strongest solution.
