Question for BSG fans (no spoliers)
I've seen the miniseries and about 20 minutes of the rest of the show's run, so I have a question to ask out of abject ignorance.

Do the "classic" Cylon Centurions still exist in the show? I recall seeing one or two as museum pieces in the pilot episode, but do they still perform some tasks in Cylon society?

1. Oh yes, very much so.
Cylons have evolved since then, but the classic Centurions are definitely still around.

3. Do they play a visible role?
Or are they the machines-behind-the-scenes?

And the series will totally suck if we don't get to see Lucifer, by your command!

4. Well, um, tonight let's say they
were more visible than some other Cylons wanted them to be.

8. You got it!
So I'm trying to answer your question without giving anything away on a thread labelled 'no spoilers'.

2. Here's the answer.. (not spoiling)
John the Baptist is giving Jesus Christ his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" Jesus exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as Jesus sits, head in hands.

Finally, Jesus looks up and says, "I know how many a brazillion is!"

7. Grggnnn ....

Yes. Grgnnnmmmmppffff.

And that's really all I can say without a spoiler.

Grnnnmmmaaffffppttthhh

I really don't know what that's all about actually.

But, yes. This was talked about in a couple of episodes ... not at length and with any detail that just says it out like that, but the old Cylons were what was being mentioned.

If I recall correctly, Trip-Six (Baltar's Six he communes with) is one of those whose mentioned them.

9. Yes
The "classic" centurions (that look like the original series cylons) make a brief appearance in the direct-to-video movie released between season 3 and 4 called "Razor."

10. newer model centurions are less bulky, more wicked looking for sure
in the new series they look totally different than in the original -- with the exception of a couple appearances by some really old models in a few episodes.

It should be available wherever you bought your other BSG DVDs.

15. The new generation of centurions have changed quit a bit since the earliest iterations.
For instance: they've all given up on disco. They mostly favor old school Detroit techno these days. Also, oddly enough, while most of the older models were lifelong yellow dog democrats their newer counterparts are fanatical Ron Paul supporters...
