I think Ally McBeal was the best series of any type ever to appear on TV.

31. Hey, I really liked ``Emergency!'' as well
I learned all kinds of things! ``Lanacane drip.'' ``Pupils equal and reactive.'' ``Pulse thin and thready.'' ``Breathing shallow and labored.'' ``IV normal saline.'' ``Clear!''

The only thing was that when I finally took CPR I learned that they were doing it all wrong. You have to time the chest compressions with the artificial respiration. They left out the breathing altogether and you notice that they never did the chest compressions on a woman. LOL!

36. Excellent show
Awhile ago, GBNC posted a film clip from this. I'm sure I bookmarked it, but it's lost on DU.1. There weren't that many episodes, but it was a real class act. When I was working with CBS in the early '90s, it used to be on their latenight lineup, so I became familiar with all the episodes. Also, in college, I went out with the son of Patrick McGoohan's cousin! What degree of separation is that?

22. I loved MST3000!
Did you see the little "shorts" run before the features? There was one, "A Date with the Family" which was basically a training film to teach people how to be WASPs. If my son hadn't seen it with me, no one would believe me. I would truly love to get a copy. It was funny. And, also, very, very disturbing. It was all about sublimating your feelings. There are topics which will NOT be discussed. There was also a marriage training film short which was also deranged...the teacher drew circles on the board according to your social class, race, and religion. The lesson: don't go outside your circle.

But Nobita is an idiot who never learns anything from his mishaps. I prefer Giant.

The author probably should have specified US shows sincwe most non-Japanese don't know Doraemon, or "Ding-Dong" as it's known in China.

33. M*A*S*H. Hands down!
M*A*S*H was the ultimate "dramedy". And it developed the characters so well.(e.g., Radar growing up and leaving his teddy bear to Hawkeye. Or Hawkeye becoming more of a feminist)

The finale is the most watched single episode of any show in history.

38. Simpsons
just becasue of its great run and it plethora of high-brow and low-brow humor. Seinfeld was redefined sitcoms and was great for being about absolutely nothing. All In the Family reruns are great as well as reruns of Golden Girls (4 old broads living in Miami are down right funny and when I say broads, I mean no disrespect) However, one of the funniest shows that I ever have watched was Family Guy. No show made me laugh to the point of tears almost every episode like FG did. Too bad it is gone forever :(
